Hi, I'm Tony π€
Full stack developer for 6 years working across video games and FinTech.
Specializing in APIs, integrations, interfaces, abstract syntax trees, web portals, apps, and services.
I write in TypeScript and Java/Kotlin.
Self taught, no degree. Able to learn new technologies fast.
Whether it be sticking to a 20+y/o design language or extending a proprietary in-house asynchronous programming framework, I know how to continue where others left off.
I am fully comfortable developing full stack or being specialized to FE or BE. I have shipped to production in all roles.
One time a leatherworker in Florence even called me so. Misalignment bothers me. I care deeply about the quality of my work.
Browser game development has taught me how to push resources to the extreme. On the flip side, integration development has taught me how to avoid fruitless micro-optimizations and to instead prioritize things like composability and immutability.
I have worked remotely my entire development career, even before COVID. I have a good microphone.
From a career working across many small remote teams, a youth of competitive soccer, and once upon a time being Top 500 in Overwatch, I understand how to be a good teammate.
I have been very fortunate to work on systems made by the best of the best. Decades of knowledge synthesized into cutting edge technology. It has strongly shaped the way I program and architect.
Nobody's ever seen it all, but I've sure seen a lot! My formative years were spent troubleshooting an obfuscated Java desktop app, so everything else kinda pails in comparison. I've also worked as a repair technician before. I know how to efficiently solve a problem.
